Ordered a radar reflector from them and needed to get it delivered locally (New London). It was backordered from the factory in Calif. The Customer Service rep kept calling the factory until they received a ship date. Once she had an in house date at Defenders, she asked me if she could personally drive it over as there was a need to get it installed quickly. That is going the extra mile for the customer. A very pleasant experience.

I have ordered from Defender for years. They have consistently been top-notch in service and pricing. As with most boating supply venders, they will match the lower prices of any competing suppliers, but I've always found that Defender genuinely tries to keep their prices low to begin with -- unlike some larger suppliers (initials "WM") who only price match when you confront them with a competitor's lower price.

I have ordered from Defender a number of times with great satisfaction. When a recent order was only partially shipped, they fixed the problem overnight and had the product in my hands within 24 hours. Great customer service and wonderful selection.

I've followed Defender since they were based on New Rochelle, NY years ago...they are now in New London, CT. Their huge warehouse/store and clearance section are definitely worth visiting. I've been satisfied with my purchases and support whether online or in person.

Web site search moderately friendly, could be better. I did find what I wanted at a good price and it was delivered in just a few days.
